Maybelline Magnum Volume Express Waterproof Mascara Review

Hello lovesss! How are you all doing?.. Sorry for not updating here so often due to my work related. This past months many students are coming and want to learn more English and I have a full load in my schedule but anyways... I sneak to give some review about the new product that I purchased last weekends.. So keep reading and hope this review helps you to find out what mascara best for your sexy lashes :)

I cant resist to try new mascara specially the waterproof formula. I like using mascara to make my lashes visible. Well, its not something new in the market, I even used the maybelline hypercurl first before trying this

I like this mascara. I tried a lot of high ends mascara and none of them could holds the curl of my lashes. This mascara holds the way it is after I curl my lashes with curler and give my volume and makes my lash look fuller.

Yes, this is my close up look of my lashes I have a barely lashes But thanks to mascaras, they make my lashes appear to life. haha.:)) One coat is enough for me, I need 2 and sometimes curl it again (I know its a no-no but I make sure its already a bit dry and just curl it lightly) 

What I like:

- Its waterproof
- It has a collagen content

- It doesn’t smudge, no panda eyes!

- It doesn’t irritate my eyes

- Affordable (P399 only! *When Maybelline is on sale, go grab/ hoard mascara/s!^^)

-Its gives some volume and a bit lengthening

- It’s not really hard to remove

- Cute packaging

- Locally available, you can find it easily!

What I don’t:

- The formula is a bit dry that  it tends to clump sometimes. (I hate clumps. Grrr~) I feel like it will dry fast unlike my Maybelline hypercurl and other mascara

- The brush is big for my lower lashes which are super short, whenever I try it, the mascara ends up on my lower lid too than just the lashes alone.

Its a good mascara and affordable one, also something you can use regularly. It lifts up my thin, pointed downward straight lashes.

Life Update: ”Where Did all begin?”

hello lovesss.

 I`m here again to share some of my thoughts about my work. this is the first time of my entry about my work. so, to start with let me give you a little background about my current job now. I`m working in a huge Japanese company JICC Japan Intertrade Callcenter Corporation.but I`m not working there as a call center. so my company has a lot of branches and one of this is NILS or Newtype International Language School this is where I`m working at. so, probably you have a idea now. I`m working as a ESL teacher or English as a Second Language and now this is my 6 months and 13 days here.

Thoughts about work:

It`s only fair to start with a quick introduction. My name is Afah and I`m an ESL teacher currently working in Cebu. I`ve been teaching here since 6 months now. This kind of work is interesting yet tiring. but if you start loving this work everything will just flow smoothly according to your plan. I know its a little bit difficult to teach English especially if your teaching people who has a hard in learning it.

So, that`s the introduction out of the way. Now you need a little history to bring you  to the present date. It`ll take a little while.

I didnt choose Cebu after a lot of planning. I just decided first to go to Baguio to have my review for my NLE but my parents wont allowed me to go there.the reasons is that its far after riding a plane I`ll have to ride another Bus and it will take many hours before I reach and they know my weakness that I`m not a land traveler like others and deeply thought about the circumstances and then my parents suggested Cebu and I said yes! so the argue about the place will I go done and I  follow my parents because I trust them with all my heart and I know that they know what best for me.

My teaching contract was something I considered when I joined. I was told to `sign thing, and this, and this and did as I was told. Jan 29,2013 I officially got the job as ESL teacher.

Thought about students:

The exciting part is here having my own class. I don't have any ideas who will be my students many questions comes in my mind like `are they good?, are they kind?,etc` I`m a little afraid also Haha. I don't know why. but maybe I`m afraid that what if there`s a circumstances that beyond my control and I cant handle it. Nah` my paranoid side is attacking me.

as I met my students all my paranoid side thinking is gone and my students they are all kind. handling a Japanese students is challenging. because some of them are funny and some of them are very serious. at first you don't know when to crack some jokes in the middle of lesson but as you mastered this skill everything will be interesting.

Japanese students are very serious in comes with studying their focus is really high and their attention life span is really long and they will listen carefully in every words come out from your mouth  that`s why teaching them was not a big mistake but a big challenge for me.

Teacher-Students:

Because of my job. I met a lot of friends my co- workers my students and people around me. I considered all my students as my friends. usually students stay to study for a many months and every day you talk and see each other. as the time goes by you shared a lot of things like experienced in life. I remember one of my students ask me `teacher are you a psychologist?` Hahaha I can`t forget this but of course I`m not a label claimer. sometimes in my class I act like a psychologist in asking questions. But I`m not will thanks to my college teacher sir. Jhundy my psychiatric nursing professor. I learned a lot from him.

What I can say about my workmates except from they are really intelligent and dedicated in teaching profession they are also the craziest people I`ve ever met in Cebu. I love this circle of people I considered them as my friends after all the things we`ve done together they will not put you down. love ya gurls!

Me and NILS

I never regretted that I become one of the ESL teacher in NILS I really love the people I love our jolly managers. you cant feel the barrier between the teachers and managers they are very kind and they are willing to teach you despite their busy schedule. 6 months passed already and sometimes I feel tired but if you see your students are learning from you all the tired days from work is worth it.

This are some of my precious memories here in work, that I will surely keep...

Choose a right sunglasses for you

Sunglasses are a vital part of my summer, but how do you choose the right sunglasses? There is actually a lot that goes into that process. Once you have found the perfect pair for you, I suggest investing in a pair that will last a lifetime. Purchasing a pair of sunnies is an investment and can make for a great staple in your accessories wardrobe. 

Before you embark on the never ending hunt to find the right sunglasses for you, make sure you know what your face shape is. Not all sunglasses look good on everyone as some frames are too wide and even too thick.

Round face shape

Whoever has a round face, I am jealous! A round face shape is equal width and length, and has very soft angles. There are lots of glasses that people with round faces can wear, but celebrities like Cameron Diaz always nail it with oversized round glasses. Sunnies that suit you best are ones with angles, to help add definition!

OVAL face shape

Rachel Bilson is one leading lady that knows how to rock a pair of sunglasses. An oval face shape is very well balanced and has a narrow forehead and jaw line. Lucky for you if you fall in this face shape, you can really wear any glasses! But the best sunglass shape for an oval face is aviators. The shape of the frame point down accentuates the face shape and adds length.

HEART face shape

Hayden Panettiere has a heart shaped face and is often seen accessorizing with sunglasses. Heart shaped faces are characterized by a narrow jaw line, high cheek bones and a wide forehead. I suggest trying on cat eye shades which bring the attention to your eyes

DIAMOND face shape

Diamond shaped faces aren’t very common, but people like Victoria Beckham, who has one, wear glasses that are massive. Yes that you read that right. Try to pick up a big pair of glasses which will even out your face shape and add some dimension. I mean don’t we all want to be like V Becks?

 LONG face shape

With a face shape like Sarah Jessica Parker, your face is thin and long. Those who are in this face shape category, you should wear sunglasses that sit atop your cheekbones. These glasses almost look like shields, so they are wider but thin.

 SQUARE face shape

Celebrities like Jennifer Aniston always look amazing when wearing sunglasses. The best way to show-off the strong jaw is to wear sunglasses that emphasize your eyes. Now this doesn’t mean over sized glasses; I am thinking more on the wider side with a bit of length.

Life Update:Slice of my life

Hello lovesss. I'm gonna use my break time to share something here. as all of you know I just came back from doing this again the Blogging and updating my skills in making someone beautiful. YES! I'm totally back. So, for all the people in front of there computer now and reading this. please let me talk about some throwback and updates of life.

After I finished my studies in University as Bachelor of Nursing. I don't know what to do next. yes of course I know that after school I have to take my license exam but as everybody feels board exam is a not a easy test. It's a test that scan all your knowledge from 1 year up to 4th year or test your critical thinking and badly its a situation type of exam.

When I took my exam for the first time I didn't make it. yes, I didn't also passed my license exam as everybody happened after the tragic scenario in my life I also been through in DABDA process of Kubler Ross. I failed my parents I didn't go outside of our house for almost a week. I turn off my cp and I isolated myself. I know even they didn't tell me I know I hurt them.

so after a month we didn't talk about the exam so I thought that probably nurse isn't for me. but there still a small part of my mind that I want to try again. since I'm not came from wealthy family I didn't ask for another chance to prove myself. But, while I'm thinking about my next move in my room. my father suddenly txted me. as I read his message to me I felt that my cheeks are warm and crying I was  moved by my father's message to me.

then they gave me another chance to take my license exam again. so I flew from my hometown (Palawan) to the Cebu. I started my review again for almost 3 months. I met new friends and stay with my aunt's place is a little bit far from my review center it takes almost 1 hour and more when traffic jam strike. I woke up 4 am everyday and came home at 9 pm. I was like a dead vege after the whole day of review.

after 3 months of review the final judgement is come the board exam day. NLE is a 2 days exam composed of 500 items and 5 different subject and if your unlucky you will be assign in a humid room which is very uncomfortable. But I didn't let that beat my eager to get my license. so, after the exam I usually go to Sto. Nino church here in Cebu to say thank you for guiding me and thank you in advanced. I feel positive always.

I have to wait for almost 2 months for the result of my exam. While waiting for the result  I decided to look for a job so that I have a reason to stay more in Cebu. I love Cebu no doubt. tehee. Looking for a job is not a easy thing. now I know the feeling but it gives me more strength to try and try until my company now hired me...

Hello lovesss. It’s been an ages since my last update here. And IM BACKKK.. I miss doing  like this. I’ve been really busy this past months after I graduated and took my license exam and now productively working as a ESL teacher. I have a lot of stuff to share here.

Every girl must have they favorite accessories. Many girls prefer necklace, rings, bracelets and so on. But in my case I love earrings. Before, every week I bought new pair of earrings. I love going to accessories store especially at forever 21. Yes! Some of my earrings are from forever 21. I prefer to buy there since there’s a lot of options. Beauty Tools

Every woman should have certain beauty tools and accessories in her beauty pursel. While there may be some variation depending on how you do your makeup, there are some tried and true must-haves that are helpful to have! Let’s discuss some of the best beauty tools and accessories out there that we can all benefit from! for now this are the tools we should have in our beauty purse...

1. BLENDING BRUSH

I think you’ll find that many of these beauty tools and accessories might be items you already own but they’re still important to mention. Let’s start off with the blending brush. Although we can apply eye shadow with our fingers or any old brush, these days we have tons of choices in the types of brushes we can use. The blending brush is of utmost important since you want to avoid having any harsh lines and achieve a sultry smoky eye.


2. TWEEZERS

Tweezers are a must-have beauty tool because you never know when you need to do a little grooming and plucking, whether you’re home or out and about. You can also use tweezers to help set your false lashes on your lash line and, of course, keep stray, unwanted hairs away.

3. EYE CURLER

Yehey! One of my favorite beauty tools I cant go out without bringing this in my purse.
After a long night, having an eyelash curler makes the difference between appearing bright-eyed and awake or dog tired. Curling your lashes also helps open up your eyes and really makes them pop. You can try the traditional metal clamp curler or try a heated eye lash curler. Both types can help create a more dramatic look and the heated curler can help hold the curl longer.

4. BEAUTY SPONGE

I know what you’re thinking, who uses makeup sponges anymore, right? Well, I felt the same way until I tried the Beauty Blender. OMG, talk about a smooth finish and even application! 

5. COTTON SWABS

Cotton swabs are a beauty tool that I cannot live without! Whether you use them to correct mistakes or clean up accidents with eye makeup, to apply skin care products you don’t want to contaminate or to clean up nail polish that’s gone astray, they're necessary. I’m sure you can think of plenty of other beauty uses for cotton swabs, too!

6. FOUNDATION BRUSH

For the ladies who aren’t hip to the sponge application technique like me I usually used this tool, a good foundation brush is a necessity! Whether you favor the stippling brush, flat top foundation brush or one of the plethora of other foundation brushes, it’s a good way to get even coverage and achieve a soft, smooth look. Using a brush also helps save makeup because you won’t use as much as if you used your fingers to apply.
