1. Side Swept Bangs
This is probably the most popular style for bangs, or fringe, right now. They are very versatile, because they can be long or short. Simply put, you part these just a little, and sweep the heavier bit off to the side. These bangs create a very soft look that goes great with lots of different cuts.2. Betty Page Bangs
Sometimes known as baby bangs, these bangs, named after the end-all, be-all of pinup girls, are short, sometimes curled, and sometimes left straight. They are cut high up on the forehead, all one length, and look fantastic. However, they go well only with certain hairstyles, and it takes a particular facial shape to carry them off properly. If you have bangs right now and think you might want these, curl yours high and tight to get a sneak peek of how they will look.3. Straight Bangs
Straight bangs actually tend to be a little rounded. They are longer toward the sides and shorter over your forehead, so they end up kind of cupping your eyebrows. They can be heavy or thin. They are great for making your eyes pop – but also call attention to your eyebrows, so if you’ve had any waxing or plucking mishaps lately, wait a while before trying this style!4. Choppy Bangs
Choppy bangs are just that – choppy. They aren’t all the same length and variate across your forehead. They are actually a very cute look, especially if you’re into a tousled, bedhead style. They are easy to take care of, but waiting for them to grow out can get a little frustrating.5. Wispy Bangs
Wispy bangs are dainty, feminine, and awfully pretty. They are very thin, and can often be choppy. Many people choose wispy bangs for a side swept look, and they do work well together. It’s not so bad waiting for these to grow out, because only a fine layer of hair is cut.6. Parted Bangs
Plain parted bangs can fall under many other styles, but are typically heavier. They are parted to the side or in the middle. I’ll be honest, I don’t particularly like this look on myself, but it looks great on some girls. Again, however, it can be a pain in the butt waiting for them to grow.7. Blunt Bangs
Blunt bangs are typically all one length. Sometimes they are above the eyebrow and sometimes they fall below it. If you have long, heavy hair, this is an especially great look. They tend to be quite think, and often start pretty far back on the crown.
And there you have it! These are the 7 primary fringe styles. What do you think? Do you have any of them, or think you might want to try one of these styles?
